Anthony Garcia, an Unique Artist Who Designed the Cartoon Bags through Paper Cutting

Paper Done Proper is not just a name, it's a lifestyle for Anthony Garcia, the creative mind behind the label. Born and raised in Southern California, Anthony's passion for design has been influenced by Los Angeles street culture and his own personal perspective. That authenticity and realism has given his work a unique and eccentric style. Using only paper and a pair of scissors, each idea is meticulously cut freehand, coming to life straight from his core thoughts. Anthony's work has been featured in numerous media outlets including Phoenix Magazine, Gallery 1988 and several others. Aside from bringing his paper fabrications to life, Anthony has had success as an entrepreneur, business owner and has provided creative direction to various other companies.

While JumpFromPaper plays with 2D & 3D optical illusion, Anthony literally plays with his magic scissors.

When you first receive JumpFromPaper cartoon bag, you will surprisingly find out our bag look as if it ‘jumped from the paper’.  For Anthony, he likes to design things with paper and scissors. So, here it comes! Creative display bag!

You may be curious to know how he did these bags.  In this video, he will walk you through the process of making the amazing bag.

Other than the out-of-ordinary bag above, Anthony also helped decorate our graffiti white cartoon backpacks. Let's check his interview!

  • Could you please help us name your graffiti backpacks?

Anthony: Their names are “Sprinkle” (JumpFromPaper backpack), “The 90s” (abstract paper design) and “Fun with Neon” (neon colored paper design). With the “The 90s” backpack, the influence was 90s themed patterns. It patters that will always stick with me by iconic sitcoms and brands of that era. The “Fun with Neon” is just a design from the ground up by hand. From the placement of the pockets to the added details of zippers and buttons I really challenge myself to makes something unique and in a colorway that will always have a remembrance.

Anthony: With the sprinkles.. it was just a fun design.  Who can resist sprinkles?

  • Could you please share with people why you want to become an artist?

Anthony: Graffiti started my passion for art and this venture and only time will tell how it will end.

  • What advice would you give to young artists?

Anthony: When one door closes another one opens. If you are passionate about it, follow your passion.
