Pamela Sustaita (1993) is a Mexican artist, she studied Fashion Design at IES Moda Casa de Francia and Plastic and Visual Arts at ENPEG “Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado” in Mexico City, her work has been exhibited in Mexico, Madrid and Tokyo with an upcoming exhibit in LA. Her work has been published in national and international magazines and books such as NYLON Magazine, Paulette Magazine, DNA Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and many more. She has collaborated with musicians around the world such as Kate Nash and The Suzan. Her client list includes VANS, Alejandra Quesada, Pink Magnolia etc. and she was the former illustrator of NYLON Japan from 2014-2016.
Collaborated with JumpFromPaper, Pamela Sustaita used lots of colors in her arts to represent her spirited style.
Pamela named her cartoon backpack "kaleidoscope games". She thinks the use of the colors and the shapes of the composition reminds her of the view through a kaleidoscope, the splash of colors talks about fun, games but also sadness and really deep feelings that play with the image of a tiny and calm lamb.
The use of colors is very Pam and is also the reflection of her own interior. "I really do hope that if you look inside my throat, you will see all these colors.", she said.

Urban or Countryside? Why?
Urban, always. I love chaos and the juxtaposition of sounds and colors, it's always more exciting to be part of the rush of the big cities with lots of unexpected inspirations.

What city would you want to live in Japan? Why?
Tokyo! It never stops to amaze you, is full of magic!
